Building the Piano

Jess and I got together one lovely Monday (after she had been on Prac – you go girl!) to create our large scale floor piano. We were so fortunate that Jess’ dad was willing to go to stores such as Bunnings Warehouse and Jaycar to get the supplies we needed! We spent the whole afternoon and evening assembling our piano – gluing foam mats to the bottom of the wood, measuring out where our keys were going to go, making sure the aluminium tape actually worked, etc. We had so much fun creating it, and were so proud when we were finally done! We both felt like Tech wizards when it all came together and worked. Go us!

Here are just a few pictures we took on the day of us working on our large scale floor piano!

Seriously so fun! I definitely want to buy my own Makey Makey and do another DIY project like this. Pretty sure the house stunk of the glue for about 24 hours though… Haha.
