In this week’s tech class, we had a hands-on lesson working will camera’s, lighting and sound. James didn’t give us much instruction in the beginning – he just told us to get the equipment out. As a class, we set up tripods for the cameras, the cameras themselves, a few different lights, and the sound equipment. We talked about different camera angles, as well as which one would be the “fixed” camera.
I was behind the fixed camera with another classmate, and I put on headphones and listened to the sound levels from the talents, which was really awesome! We recorded/filmed twice, the first acting as a practice run.
I learnt so much from this lesson about filming and recording while filming, and thoroughly enjoyed the class! I have included two photos that I captured on my phone while the filming/recording was going on.
